What is the difference between a gift card and an e-gift card?

Gift Cards

Gift cards are credit card sized cards which can be loaded or topped up with values between £5 and £1000, to spend with M&Co online or in store. They are valid for 24 months from the last transaction. They can be ordered to be sent directly to your recipient as a gift.

Gift cards can be used as part or full payment online using the 19 digit card number and 4 digit pin, or in store using the bar code.

E-Voucher

E-Vouchers are an electronic version of our M&Co gift cards which can be loaded with values between £5 and £1000, to spend with M&Co online or in store. They are valid for 24 months from the last transaction. They can be ordered to be directly to your recipient as a gift or to yourself - all you need is a valid email address. E-Vouchers can be used as part or full payment online using the 13-digit card number or in store by printing out the E-Vouchers card and using the QR code on the print-out.

Where can I use my Gift Card?

Your Gift Card can be used in any UK store, excluding those within department stores and for use online for UK delivery addresses. To use your gift card online you will need to reveal your 4 digit pin. For E-Vouchers no pin is required.

Where can I buy a Gift Card?

Gift Cards can be purchased in any UK store, excluding those within department stores. Gift Cards remain valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. After this period any balance remaining will be removed from the card.

How do I check the balance of my Gift Card?

You can now check your Gift Card balance online, to check your balance please click here  Alternatively your local store (excluding concession and department stores) can check the balance for you.

How will I be refunded if I have paid with a Gift Card and another method of payment?

When returning the Gift Card will be credited first, with any remaining balance being credited to the other method of payment used at the time of purchase.

If you a returning items in store you will be issued with a new gift card containing the return balance.

If you a returning items in store you will be issued with a new e-voucher containing the return balance which will be issued to the email address used to place the order.

My Gift Card has been lost / stolen

If you have a copy of your Gift Card number we will be able to place a stop on it and protect any outstanding balance on it from fraudulent use. Unfortunately if you do not have this information we are unable to trace the card and are therefore unable to replace it for you

My Gift Card has expired what do I do?

Unfortunately our Gift Cards expire 24 months from date of purchase/dispatch. After this time the balance will be deducted to nil and forfeited. This is stated on the terms and conditions.

We are afraid that once the card has expired the balance cannot be reinstated.
